Brian: The Tursiops is a 15' x 28" plywood on frame kayak that I built, and have used for fishing. It is very stable, turns well, and handles very well in rough seas. I also have an Artic Tern. I go paddling with my brother he takes the AT and I use the Tursiops. It takes a little extra effort but I can usually keep up with him. The 28" beam may seem excessive but I really like the way this kayak handles, and it's stability makes it a great choice for fishing.
BTW my brother can perform eskimo roll in it with ease, he says the hardest part is getting it to flip over!
