I'm to the point of glassing the lips for my flush mount hatches. I've put resin around the hatch edges and applied the release to the hatches. Nick's book says to tape the hatches flush to the deck and run tape along the "outside" of the seem so the resin won't drip through when the glass is applied for the lip. Does this mean that I will be filling the saw kerf between the hatch and the deck with resin? I want to be really sure about this step before I do it, cutting the hatches out the first time was nerve racking enough.
