Hi folks,
In the past I've read about marine paint scratching on the hulls and so on from use and abuse. I have to say, I've not ever used marine paint. BUT, I have used another kind of paint thats utterly amazing.
I work at a municipal airport in Connecticut and had the duty one night of painting the floors of the hangars [actually trimming]. The paint was this two part resin-catalyst polyurethane paint. After mixing, and applying just one coat - I had my doubts about how it would hold up...
Well its been severl months now and Im a believer. Numerous 80,000 lb jets, trucks, cars, suv's have rode across it and I can say this is the most abrasion resistant paint I've ever seen in my life. Som cars have even left a little rubber on it!
I hear its exspensive, but again, its impressive too. When im done witht he hull on my yak Im seriously goung to consider this for the trim. {I hope I wont need more paint than the trim requires ]
