In my experience if you build another boat before the secretary the quality of the latter will only be enhanced. Let's face a cabinet is just a fancy box. Boxes have all those right angle joints. After working on a solid with logarithmic curves your skills set will hardly be taxed by a box. It's a good line to try anyway. May your home find peace.
