Adam, I live about 1 hour south of Boston in Rhode Island. I built 2 CLC 17lt's last year and have been out a couple times in the last 2 weeks. The ice is finaly gone. I've also just finished an Arctic Tern a couple weeks ago. The 17lt is fast, stable and easy to build. I did not get a chance to fish out of it last year but intend to this season. My wife and I use them mainly on the salt ponds in Southern RI. I'm home this weekend but will be out of town nwxt week. Good luck on your project.
: Great responses! I'm going to go with the LT, and I'll just make sure if I go
: fishing, I won't bring my nicest stuff, just in case a big striper or
: bonito gets the best of me. I'm sure I'll be posting more questions on
: here as I start building it.
: Thanks Ed, Ronnie, and Sam - your advice is much appreciated.
: Anyone know of an 17LT in or around the Boston area I could see in person, so
: I can see what the finished product is supposed to look like up close?
: Adam
