What I found to be the difference between Flagship and Captains is: Flagship is MUCH MORE DIFFICULT to apply and needed thinning to get a good finish. On the other hand I applied Captains with little problems and applied all coats (5) without thinning. I have heare of builders using 1 or 2 coats of Flagship and finishing with captains or maybe it was the other way around. Anyway, I had the best luck with Captains and the not so good with flagship.
