I'm thinking about a foldable (for a while now),
& I am looking for some skin options.
a basic difference between a regular sof & a foldable is that with
a sof the skin stays on the frame, so it is never folded.
It can be painted with any color, & once the paint is dry it will
not break because the skin never folds.
with foldables it's a different story.
I was thinking of using billboards pvc banner material for the skin,
but I'm not sure how well it can be stretched over the curves of a hull,
& then be sewn along some wrinkles that can't be stretched.
another possibility is to use any cloth used on a regular sof, & paint it
with somekind of paint that will stay flexible, so the skin can be folded
& unfolded again & again.
I'm not sure if such paint exist.
I heard (read) somebody mentioned latex based paint.
what exactly is it ?
does it turn to something like latex gloves material when it dries ?
if so, than is it possible to fold & unfold cloth covered with that paint ?
what materials such paint sticks to ?
canvas ?
nylon ?
polyester ?
etc' ?
does such paint has uv protection ?
price/performance ?
links ?
any help appreciated,
