The Piccolo was featured in a how-to-build in WB numbers 36 and 37. The lines and offsets are included, although WoodenBoat still has the plans the last I looked, and they are cheap. It is undecked, and traditionally built. 12 1/2 feet long by 30 inches wide, with a ketch rig totaling about 35 square feet. A lovely little canoe.

: It's a little hard to make any conclusions on the hull form, but the profile
: and deck remind me a lot of the "Piccolo" featured in
: "WoodenBoat" way back before I subscribed (issue 50). My lovely
: wife gave me a copy of a book publish by WB after their first ten years in
: business and an article on this design is included. The book features
: reprints of selected articles. I forget if the lines were published. I'll
: follow up with that information and the issue number that originally
: featured the article. As I recall the boat was traditinally built, that is
: plank on frame, but could easily converted to multi-chine S&G, lappled ply
: or strip built.
