Sorry Nick, I forget the conversations in my head don't precede my communications, In making a CH18 for a rental company I wanted to protect the finished interior before puttling the deck on. Saw the fancy blue masking tape by 3m with a 2ft plastic sheet attached to one edge at the Home Depot so I thought I'd give it a try. Maybe it's the wee hours of boat building but it was kind of magical the way the plastic clung to the interiore of the kayak before putting the deck on.
