Hi Risto, If you are asking about commercial paddles I know a strong fellow that had a Werner paddle break in the surf, at the ferrule, facing forward into a breaking wave with the paddle taking the force of the wave. If it was me the paddle would have taken my face off. I've seen a few people break paddles while learning how to do paddle float rescues. What makes you ask?
