I took a woodshop class in college, and it was the first time I'd heard of this phenomenon. I always thought that the dust collection system in the high school woodshop was just to keep the shop from being messy so fast.

BTW, taking a college woodshop class would be a great way to build a boat. You'd be committed to predetermined blocks of time, and would have almost all of the tools at your disposal.
