Thanks! Indeed that is where it ends for the moment. The instructions called for mini decks for the bow and stern due the changes in the structure. After some thought I may have been able to continue on the bow and had thought about doing so but being this is my first attempt at building a kayak I decided against it as I didn't want to get myself into a jam. As far as the stern goes I don't see how it could continue due to the curves and tapers. I'm sure some of the more experianced builders could probably do it but, I didn't want to try it. I'm starting to see a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel and open water is in the near future. I finished the bow mini deck last night and I yet to view it in place. I already have some ideas to try on the tail and I hope they come out as good. I just received my steam kettle so I can bend those tail pieces to try it. Which boat did you build with the regrets to doing it that way? Maybe I will regret not trying it, but I'll just build another for the wife.
