I won't even dignify the comment below labeled " Ice Pick " with a response.
But..... I figured that I'd best show ya'll what I meant by my " Ole Shoe " style of Push-Sticks. This picture shows the basic shape of my push-sticks and they look like an old shoe, but, are very effective. The heel does all the pushing and applying pressure to the sole/toe of the shoe helps keep the board flat on the table and helps prevent kick-backs or vibration and poor cuts. I make mine out of 5/8" underlayment typs particle board, which is an especially hard/solid glued type made for sub-flooring. It casts around $7.00 a sheet here and you could make around 110 of them. When they get cut up too much I just throw them away and pull out another one.
