shoulder injury:(

hello everyone!
last night i was jonesn' to go and play some hockey. it was great, untill i went and seperated my shoulder:( :(. i got in from th e.r. at 1:00 this a.m.. what fun. i've got to go see an orthopedic dr. at 11:15, i can't hardly wait.
the doc will be able to answer any of my questions, but i'd though i'd mosey up to the electric front porch (goofy brace and all) to see what you people think.]
how long before i can paddle? will this have long term effects on pressure on my shoulder? (ie paddling my kayak) will this injury ever go away?
