Being nuts and spending lots of time. I spend a lot of time hand beveling to a good fit. Furthermore I used a mirror to check the backside of each strip to ensure that I don't have a significant gap. In addition, I used 1.5" masking tape every 4 to 6" to pull the strips tight.
