I have been doing 3 to 4 strips a night. I only have a 1.5 to 2 hour window to work on the boat. I am building a Night Heron. The chine on the front half of the boat is striping fine with 1/2 in strips. Don't kill me for using staples! I will try stapleless next time! Right now I just want to get a boat on the water.
The back half of the boat has a very hard chine. Next time I build this boat I think 1/4 in strips will work better. O.K now here is my new problem I have. The
last 5 forms (excluding the very last one) the strips have been pulling away from the forms. the worse one is 1/4 in above the form. I think I will continue and try to keep it smoth by eye. what did I do wrong?
