Hi Brian,
27 ounces, Wow thats light! My lightest paddle weighes 30 ounces and I'm afraid of breaking it. To me it almost feels to light and flimsy. My tried and true beater weighes in around 2 pounds and I think I prefer the extra weight. I hope to see your paddle Saturday at the pool session!
