Hi Brett,

Back in my youth I blew both shoulder out weight lifting. There was no surgery for shoulders then,(50's)and no therapy. I was in great pain for most of my life and my arms hung like dead meat. I tried to exercise out of this but it didn't work. Then about 15 years ago I went to see a sports medicine doctor and was started on therapy before they operated. I have used the therapy esercises on and off over the years and not had the surgery and it has worked good enough for me to plan my wilderness trip. The secret is getting to a doctor right away and getting started on your rehibilitation if that is what is required. Good luck.
