: It's tool purchasing time again and I was wondering if anyone has used the
: new Rotzip tool. I was wondering how it would be for doing the hatch cut
: outs or are they too unstable? Seems like an oversize dremmel with a
: guide. I have been looking at jig saws as the one I have just won't cut it
: to do that job when noticed this on the shelf. Maybe I should just use a
: small hand saw. Comments appreciated.

Steve,
I have a Rotozip and considered using it for the hatch cut-outs but changed my mind after trying it out on a test panel. The stability you can correct for with a jig, but I found that it took too much material out with the cut. The hatches will be much tighter if you use a pull saw or even a jig saw.
Good luck,
