Hi Geo.

when playing around w/ many strip design ideas, one of them generated around using the cockpit opening as an analogue for an open gaping mouth. The cutout or inset would be perfect place for globby teeth set in a dark background say even black inset fabric to match the spray deck black neoprene , a surround of steamed curved strips for the lips - narrow at the sides and say real wide bow and stern - like you could even do 4 pc, the rear deck of various meeting strips being a dripping tangled beard , the front deck of variously parting strips for long droopy eyes and nose.

and then the hull more simplistic flowing hair analogy to bring the whole kayak together top and bottom

seriously thought about it, drew a few, but chose and stripped another interesting way.
