Comes the postman bearing bad news. The whole dot com world is finding out that the advertizing business model doesn't turn a profit. Ten bucks a year doesn't sound like enough to support Photo Point. Lots of sites want $4-10 a month for access. I'd expect this cost will escalate as competitors secumb, assuming PP survives.

Can anyone help me out with some terminology here. Web site-web page? I've done a web page on AOL. As I understand it this page is stored for me on AOL's server and is accessible to anyone that uses its URL. When does a web page become a web site? Is that a function of the URL? That is, if you call up GodGeorge.com and you get to my page is it now a site? Or is a site a bunch of linked pages? To have you have access to godgeorge.com do I have to build and operate my own server? With $100K Cisco servers going for $1500 at dom com creditors' auctions this is a possibility.

Also, if I were to move my kayak album to an AOL web page anyone wanting to see the pics would have to leave the BBS to access the photos. Assuming they then want to return to the BBS does that incur and extra cost to Nick? Either by way of additional traffic or line charges?
