Yesterday I glassed the cockpit coaming to the deck on my Guillemot and I ended up with hundreds of bubbles where the coaming and deck meet. This was not outgassing (I know outgassing from building my canoe) but the result of the glass lifting at the right angle formed at the joint. I pushed the glass back in place over and over until the epoxie kicked. Today I tried drilling and filling with a syringe but to no avail. I will remove the epoxie from the joint with a Dremel and redo it but how do I prevent a repetition of this? I used 6oz 1.5 inch tape and Raka. The Raka was great to work with on the hull and deck, much easier and no odor as compared to the West.
