: From what I understand, you are stuck with the blotches and will just learn
: to live with them if they are small. If they are huge you might be able to
: sand the entire area down again but you may just be making big blotches
: instead of little ones.
: I had some of these and just considered them learning curve and went on. They
: really aren't that noticable to anyone but me and they probably don't
: affect the performance of the boat that much
: Have fun and good luck.

Thanks your reply. I probably should just get over it so I can get it wet-but-
To be more concise I guess what I am asking is whether and how, if there are any tricks, I can spot sand and re-seal these areas before I glass and expect any kind of color match. I am considering sanding the sealer off the entire hull if need be. This is my third boat, I'm living with the imperfections on the first two but this one is pretty close to nailing it. The spots are very small, up to about 2 inches along the joint between strips, maybe max an 1/8th wide. The hull is all bevel-edge stripped so they're the result of slight mismatches edge to edge. The suface is smooth but I didn't sand quite deep enough to get all the glue. I worked hard to get the strips lined up well so I didn't actually have to sand very deeply over most of the boat.
