I have made two strips on my boat with the same type of problems. I made them first and installed them whole. I agree that next time I'll try to but them together on the boat inplace. They were hard to clamp every inch (piece) for the full length of the boat.Some of the clamps twisted a little as they dried and the strips ane not very flat. I expect they will be hard to fair later. Mine look good from a distance but up close you can see everything. Much too much work to redo as I cut them all by hand with the (Jap) pull saw. I am hindered by a time limit to finish so I will have to live and work with what I got on this boat.
