: I chucked a 2" drum sander in my 3/8" drill and carefully sanded
: the rings smooth. Keep the drum moving and use both hands on the drill.

I used a big, coarse, toothed rasp to remove 95% of the stock on my coaming, then smoothed it up with 80-grit in my ROS.
