In Response To: Fiberglassing Ash Protective Strip? *Pic* (John Monfoe)
John,
My experience with cabosil is that it will show up cloudy, as Pete suggested. You might like to try the approach that Nick describes, in his book, for building up small fillets using strands of glass. Tear apart some glass cloth, so that you have a bunch of long strands that you can lay in the corner between the ash strip and the cedar. Wet out with epoxy, you can build up enough fillet to prevent voids at the corner. And remember to use bias cut cloth to cover the ash and fillet.
