This is only a suggestion, I've had some success getting fibre glass to go where it is unwilling to go by wrapping the wetted out glass with that clear plastic stuff you wrap your sandwiches in. In New Zealand we call it cling film or Glad wrap, when the plastic stuff is in place on top of the wet epoxy, you can mould it around without getting into a mess, with your fingers. I've found it usefull for going around tight radius corners as well.
