I'm finishing the two specialized molds now--one to bend ribs on and the other for final construction of the bookcase.

The former mold is a pretty standard wood/canvas mold with metal bands for 2" ribs on 4" centers. It's only 8'long and made from 16' Chestnut Prospector lines.

The latter mold is nearly indescribable in words. It uses the same Prospector lines, but is made to the inside of the hull surface. It has special clamps to position and temporarily hold the ribs transferred from the other mold.

When I've got a couple bookcases under my belt so I know the technique works efficiently, I'll post some detailed pictures. I'd like nothing better than for others to build quality bookcases for sale and maybe prevent a few classic woodies from being cut in half.
