: Nice job, I think it will float. I like what you did with the coaming and
: deck lines. Just how did you install the deck lines into the deck?

The deck lines are held using small (1/2" wide tubular webbing) loops. These come direct from Joe Greenley from Redfish and I take no credit beyond using the idea.
I cut 1"x2" pieces of extra bulkhead material, drilled 1/8"x1/2" slots in the pieces and then cut 3"-4" pieces of tubular webbing. I might note that the tubuluar webbing is double thickness so if you use flat webbing, your slots would have to be correspondingly narrower, probably 1/16". I used 5 minute epoxy to glue the webbing to the backer board. The slots in the deck were also 1/8"x1/2" just carefully cut with a drill and finished with a small file. The slots were sealed with epoxy and I just worked the webbing through from the inside. Very tight fit. I didn't use any silicone to seal the underside, Probably will have to redo them but once I started to see how it looked I just had to finish and didn't want to wait for silicone. With the tight fit, I'd expect absolute minimal leakage. The loops are big enough for 2 - 1/4" lines to fit through very tightly. No hardware to bang your knuckles on and as is evident, they couldn't be any less intrusive.
