I thought my reservations for Aug. 18 et. al. were made, on line, everything seemed to click as it has before, but the confirmation by mail hadn't shown up at the end of a week. I was in Port Townsend the other day (on a wood hunt) and stopped by the Park office to see if in fact I was registered. Tina is a really nice lady in the office and I have talked to her many times in the past, but there was no res. in my name for the Aug. dates. It seems they have new software this year that requires less attention by staff, if a glitch occurs, you are staying in overflow or at the Fairgrounds. Tina,god bless her, could tell I was steaming, but there was nothing she could do. All beach sites are now full. I live close enough to drive and have the offer of a friend to stay in her yard (with hookups) but if you are from out of town and counting on a res. it would be smart to doublecheck it.
