After applying 2 coats of epoxy to the deck of my S&G kayak, I sanded through to the wood in several places while removing high spots. No problem, I think, simply recoat with another thin layer, and be more careful sanding (only 180-220 this time?). So I've done it, and the places I sanded through are much lighter than the surrounding areas, even after recoating. It does not look too good at this point. The question: Will the color eventually become homogenous after 5-6 coats of varnish? Or, do I need to completely remove all epoxy from the deck and start again? Note that I did not sand through the top ply, just down to it. Any help would, as usual, be much appreciated. --Andy
