There are a multitude of "right" ways of making your boat. The one you have in mind will work just fine. I rarely do it in exactly the same order twice.

Other than glassing the inside before you glue the deck to the hull, most steps can be rearranged.

: I thought that the building order was: 1. Strip the hull.
: 2. Strip the deck.
: 3. Recessed cockpit.
: 4. Plane, sand and fill hull and deck.
: 5. Cockpit uprights.
: 6. Glass hull.
: 7. Glass deck.
: 8. Hatches,cockpit rim, recessed deck lines, bulkheads and footbraces.
: 9. Attach deck.
: 10. End pour.
: 11. Varnish.
: 12. paddle.

: the reason I ask is I have just read of people glassing the hull before ever
: laying the first deck strip. Am I doing somthing wrong? Half of my deck is
: done.
: Should I stop and work on hull?
