I saw an ad in the back of WoodenBoat for $0.25 per foot, cove and bead cedar. That might be $350.00 for a boat which sounds really steep to me.
As I mentioned in another post (Just to rub it in I picked up enough cedar for a couple of boats at a garage sale for $10.00. I've never bough new wood at market value for a strip boat, only plywood. Watch the classifieds.
