You might try a second coat of epoxy in those areas, or you an just leave it alone. The varnish will hide some of it -- maybe all of it. The sun will affect it, too. Wait a few months to a year before taking any other steps. In 1 or 2 years you will need to sand it and re-varnish it. If it looks truly awful a year or two from now, you can sand it all down to the bare wood and refinish it then. Or, you can jsut sand off the varnish and paint it. In the meantime, put a workable finish on it and get it in the water.

Probably you are the only one who notices this. Most people accept color shifts in wood as a matter of fact. It is a natural material and subject to the variations that nature put there.

You are posting this at 3 am, so I am thinking that you are staying up late worrying about this. Don't. Just wait a while and see how much things improve as you go. Best of luck, quit worrying, it will look beautiful, and don't ask why I'm up even later writing a response :) Paul Jacobson
