Help~removing contact cement?

I'm adding thigh brace keyhole type wings to the cockpit of my Coho. I have to remove old contact cement on the underside of my deck where I had Minicel glued on with contact cement, so I can glass the wings on. Does anyone have a good & quick method of removing the old contact cement? I have tried scraping and acetone. The scraping just rolls the cement around and the acetone takes forever. Has anyone ever tried any automotive products like Goof-off? I don't want to degrade the epoxy.
