: I'm adding thigh brace keyhole type wings to the cockpit of my Coho. I have

: anyone have a good & quick method of removing the old contact cement?

Hi Larry

Don't know the fancy chemical names for it but when I was doing formica counter tops, we used Laquer thinner and it disolves the stuff quite quickly. The laquer thinner seems to evaporate quite quickly, and I'd use the resporator if you're working inside the boat. Nasty stuff. I can't say for sure how it will effect epoxy or glass, as I've never used it there, but..... You could test it on something to see how it will effect it. ??? Hope that helps.
