If you have any gaps at the deck-hull beveled edges on the inside, the tape-epoxy may not fill these. I laid down a fillet of thickened (loose) epoxy to fill all voids under the tape. Tacking the tape on with hot glue works great. I made a syringe on a stick with a push rod to apply the fillet, just slid it under the free side of the tape and pumped the thicked epoxy along the sheerline.

One word of caution: The ends of the tape like to unravel when you brush the epoxy on, making a mess at the bow and stern. It might be worth sewing a stitch accross the tape before cutting or maybe super glue the thread so it wont unravel. This happened with the tape I used.

It can get pretty warm inside the cockpit with a light and respirator on. a sweat band is probably not a bad idea so you dont drip sweat all over freshly epoxied tape.
