: Is the cloth bunched up at the run area? ( speaking from little experience )
: If it's just missing a thread or two, I can't imagine that being a
: problem. The resin should still fill it and it should dissappear like
: usual. If it is bunched, I would still imagine that you could smooth it
: down with a roller or squeegie when wet out. Could you maybe cut a small
: piece of the bunched area and give it a try on some scrap plywood or
: something? Would only take a minute and would give you lots of piece of
: mind.

: If it is bunched up and won't lay flat, find the offending thread ( should be
: easy enough ) and cut it just before wet-out. Maybe somebody else has had
: this experience and can fill you in on their solution. ??

The cloth is not bunched just looks like grain run out on wood. It is about 3"x6" every 14" or so. Looks like a flaw when the cloth was made. There are gaps in the weave but everything is flat. If the cloth wets out invisible then it would dissapear. If the cloth shows ever so slightly, it could be noticeable. I have not used fiberglass since I built stich and glues for a local river race 20 + years ago and don't remember all that I should.(age creeping up).Just how visible is the glass wetted out?
Thanks
Dave
