: Anybody have a guess as to how much dust is eliminated by using a vacuum with
: a ROS?
: Previously for 2 kayaks I've already sanded outdoors with no vac.
: Now, I'm planning on sanding indoors with a vac and want to know if I should
: still hang drop clothes to eliminate dust from floating all over the shop.
: any help here?
: thanks,

You can get most of it if you attach the vac to the collector on yr sander, presuming you have one. Holding the vac nozzle close is 50 pct at best. I have really just cobbed things together with tape so I have occasional blow out with dust everywhere. I run an exhaust fan to the outdoors which clears things out pretty quick when that happens. I couldn't find a fine filter for my vac so I use a fine bag over the inlet inside the vac.
