Huge Difference, But Don’t Burn It Up

The vacuum makes a huge difference. Not only does eliminate most of the dust, but you can see exactly what the sander is doing to the wood since it cleans as you go.

One warning. I burned up my first shop vac. You need to clean the filter often because the fine dust clogs it up quickly. I didn’t know it until I smelled the smoke. Then it was too late.

: Anybody have a guess as to how much dust is eliminated by using a vacuum with
: a ROS?

: Previously for 2 kayaks I've already sanded outdoors with no vac.

: Now, I'm planning on sanding indoors with a vac and want to know if I should
: still hang drop clothes to eliminate dust from floating all over the shop.

: any help here?

: thanks,
