: and muskrats that burrow into it. Surprisingly and although it is touted
: as closed cell it will soak up a surprising amount of water over time. It
: also breaks down quite quickly when exposed to UV radiation and is easily
: dissolved by many petrolium products (adhesives and solvents).

: I think I read in an earlier post that you intend to seal it with epoxy and
: glass in your bow and stern for flotation, that would eliminate exposure
: to water and UV but it might be wise to try a test piece first to see if
: there is any adverse reaction to the epoxy.

Hi Ken,

I knew it was too good to be true, but yes I will have it inclosed in fiberglass. I will go ahead and make the seat out of it and put stretchable Lycra over it and if it doesn't hold up I will buy the good stuff. Since I have plenty of this I think I will black epoxy one panel and float it in the pond for turtles to climb on to, and cut holes in another one to plant impatients for a floating island.
