A slow hardener is designed for use in hot temperatures...... if you're going to be working in cooler temps, use a different hardener. I used System 3 with fast hardener when working in 60 degree temps-- with good results... and have used System 3 with medium hardener when working at room temp (68 degrees)... also with good results. One of the points that System 3's Epoxy Book makes is that one should use the hardener that corresponds to one's working temperatures... (cold = fast, room temperature = medium, hot = slow)

Depending on where you live, given the price of electricity & fuel these days, if you've got a lot of work left, it would probably be cheaper to buy some medium hardener rather than keeping the garage heat cranked up....
