Oh yeah, I guess it starts out white, and turns black with use. Hey, just mow your lawn a few times, and put the now-black cord on your boat, and put fresh white stuff back on the lawnmower!!

That's probably not the answer you were looking for.

I do think most chainsaws come with black rope. Actually, my lawnmower has black rope--it's a Craftsman--check Sears. Now that's a thought--Sears as a chandlery!
