I've no experience with it but I recently noticed MLCS has a stacked bit as well.
I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work just fine. The cove or flute cut is the more likely to cause splintering and it is the same radius as the individual cove bit and should work just as well.
I don't have any experience with MLCS so I can't comment on the quality of their bits, but the price is good at 32.95 for the stacked bit. Cheaper in fact than the individual bits.
