Steve,
I tried several blades before I found one that worked good for me. I can't tell you the exact number but it's a Bosch (bayonet) TS 1018 or something similar. It is very thin and it's hollow ground with almost zero set in the teeth. This blade really cuts a thin kerf. I used the same blade for 2 boats. The first boat I used a hand held blade holder to cut the hatches. On the second boat I used my new jigsaw. The jigsaw did a quicker job but, no better than the hand tool.
