I did quite a bit of research on this last year and probably the best you can get is the mid-size Porter Cable (don't know model number but it's about $200 +/- with a dual set of handles and carrying case). DeWalt also has a very good router in this size category. For most of us doing non-commercial work, the larger 3+ h.p. routers have a large price and weight penalty.

I actually wound up purchasing a variable speed, Bosch 2 1/2 H.P. last year and have been totally happy with it as well.
