Hi Lee; We have in our group several routers-Porter Cable, Craftsman,
DeWalt(621)and also the 3+ hp plunge. The 3+plunge is set up in a router table most times. We really like the soft start in the DeWalts. All of the above are good tools and would serve your needs well. Hope this will help. Russ
