I assume everyone here likes woodworking. The best investment you could make for yourself would be a subscription to Fine Woodworking magazine. I've been subscriber for over 15 years. The issues are an invaluable source of information and reference for woodworking tools, methods and projects.

I just used a back issue to make an elliptical mirror for a wedding present.

Do yourself a favor or drop a hint to a loved one on a nice gift you will enjoy reading.
