I'm in the process of fairing and I noticed that I have a small issue at the sheer. Using C&B strips I planed the bead off of the first strip. But in my newbe state, I didn't quite plane enought. Now I have depression on the sheer where the strip curves into the boat following the remain bead.
Its not too bad, but I'd like to fix it.
Nick, we met at the Newfound event last year. You showed me a way to clean the sheer to sheer joint by running a pull saw the lenght of the boat. Seems this would correct my flaw. How would I do this while still on the forms....just cut the forms a little as I go?
Any other suggestions?
BTW. I have gone from ROS to fairing board back to ROS. I seem to be doing a better job with the sander then the board. Maybe I'm missing something.
