Bosworth says these are rated for 12-foot suction head & 12 foot delivery head. Definitely more than is needed for a kayak.

I'll be mounting the same model in my ChLT18. (center button, not foot/hand lever, so not practical to mount external return bungie)

Haven't gotten the proverbial "Round Tuit" yet, but I plan to contact Bozworth & order a stock replacement spring - then I can experiment on retempering or trimming one spring, & if (when) I screw up I'll have a backup. I'll probably contact a local machine shop or marine metalsmith who is used to working on stainless for advice and/or to work the spring.

How about whoever gets some results first post them to this board?
